Format: About 15 minutes long using PowerPoint (required). If you are NOT using your own computer, you must email Dr. Wang the presentation at least 12 hours in advance of the presentation (you will be sent a confirmation email when received).
The presentation will be similar to the progress reports except that the it should encompass the entire courese. Here is a sample format you companies can follow:
Content: Remember this is the FINAL presentation. You will not get another chance to impress the audience. If you cannot make it appear as if you have walked on water all semester, you are doomed to failure. You want to blow your own horn to make sure the audience knows that you did quality work. Don't forget to pay special attention to the business aspects of the project. Your should include market analysis (how much will it cost to make, how much can you sell it for, and how many can you sell), R&D costs (that must be recovered), potential clients/customers/buyers/suppliers, and future business plans.

Format: Submit two copies of each report. Reports have no page limit, but should conform to standard 8.5" x 11" pages (minimum type size is 10 pt., double spaced, 1" margins), stapled at the upper-left-hand corner of the package (no fancy covers). This includes all elements of the proposal (text, graphics, exhibits, appendices).
The format should generally be as follows:
Content: Don't forget the business stuff. You are all qualified to perform the engineering (you are graduating after all), demonstrate that you learned something in the lectures and put the beginnings of a business plan into the report. Discuss how you plan to take the project to the next step (beyond the course). Who are you approaching for support. Who is going to help you get there. Have a psuedo sales pitch ready: how many can you sell, how much will they cost, what are the benefits, etc.
