Project Overview

A multi-tool is lightweight compact emergency tool which is capable of performing many common bicycle repairs such as tightening bolts, adjusting brakes, fixing broken chains, adjusting deraillleurs, and tightening/loosening spokes.

Teams of 3-5 students have undertaken the task of designing a multi-tool for bicycles. Teams must develop a design, benchmark it against competitive products, specify manufacturing methods, and develop a working prototype within the 16 week semester.

This semester the course is being sponsored by Kooka Components of Carson City, Nevada.
