The humble beginning. No money. No budgets. Very little structure to the course. But it was very novel. Not much data has survived from this course offering, except the web pages that every team was required to maintain so that the industrial sponsor could keep track of how each team was doing.
The goal this semester was to design and prototype a bicycle multi-tool. One design resulted in a provisional patent being filed.
